Join our mission to ensure safe blood is available for everyone who needs it. Your donation can save up to 3 lives.
Blood donation is one of the most powerful ways to save lives and support your community.
One donation can save up to 3 lives. Your blood helps accident victims, surgical patients, and those with chronic illnesses like cancer and sickle cell disease.
Regular donation helps maintain healthy iron levels, provides free health screenings, and may reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer.
Blood cannot be manufactured - it can only come from volunteer donors. Your donation directly serves your local community and nearby hospitals.

A simple, safe, and rewarding experience that takes about an hour
You'll complete a confidential health questionnaire and undergo a brief physical examination. Our trained staff will check your temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and hemoglobin levels to ensure you're healthy and eligible to donate.
Duration: 15-20 minutes
The actual donation process is quick and comfortable. You'll be seated in a comfortable chair while approximately 450ml (about 1 pint) of blood is collected using sterile, single-use equipment. Our experienced phlebotomists ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
Duration: 8-12 minutes
After donation, you'll rest in our comfortable recovery area where we'll monitor you and provide refreshments including juice, water, and snacks. This helps replenish your fluids and ensures you feel well before leaving.
Duration: 15-20 minutes
Your donated blood undergoes rigorous testing for infectious diseases and blood typing. It's then processed into different components (red cells, plasma, platelets) to maximize its therapeutic value and help multiple patients.
Processing Time: 24-48 hours
Once tested and processed, your blood is distributed to hospitals and medical facilities where it's used for emergency transfusions, surgeries, cancer treatments, and various medical procedures that save lives every day.

"I've been receiving transfusions at White Cross for 8 years. The care, consistency, and compassion here have given me a normal life. I'm now 24, completed my engineering degree, and work full-time. None of this would be possible without the dedication of this foundation and the generosity of blood donors."
